Mouser-Backed DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Returns to Tokyo for Doubleheader

May 14, 2025—Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is ready to cheer on the DS PENSKE Formula E team as they head to Japan for rounds 8 and 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Making a Formula E debut in 2024, the Tokyo E-Prix is increased to a doubleheader in 2025, set for May 17 and 18.

The Tokyo E-Prix sold out quickly for the 2024 race, and with double the action this year, it is sure to be another exciting weekend. The Tokyo Street Circuit will be an 18-turn, 2.582km track that will surround the Tokyo International Exhibition Centre – the largest venue in Japan, also known as Tokyo Big Sight. It's a challenging layout that includes three notable straights, technical sequences of tight corners, and high-speed combinations set against the stunning Tokyo metropolis backdrop.

The DS PENSKE Formula E team is led by two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne and Maximilian Günther as they pilot the new GEN3 Evo car. The GEN3 Evo is faster, stronger, and more agile than its predecessors and features an aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic. The new GEN3 Evo cars can go from 0-60 mph in 1.82 seconds, 30% faster than an F1 car. It also allows for all-wheel drive, a first for a Formula E car.
