Mouser-Sponsored DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Readies for Inaugural Shanghai E-Prix in China
May 21, 2024 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is excited to cheer on the DS PENSKE Formula E racing team for the first time in Shanghai, China, for rounds 11 and 12 of the Season 10 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The weekend gets started on May 25 for round 11 and continues on May 26 for round 12.
The DS PENSKE team is coming off another doubleheader weekend in Berlin, Germany, where Jean-Éric Vergne claimed another podium finish in round 9. The Shanghai races will take place at the Shanghai International Circuit, which opened in 2004. The track layout was inspired by Chinese culture, with the designers claiming to have drawn inspiration from the Chinese “shang” symbol for the overall configuration. The track is comprised of 12 turns and is 3.051 km in length. With a right-left-right chicane section, hairpin turns, and an open straightaway, the circuit is sure to provide some excitement for the inaugural Shanghai E-Prix. The DS PENSKE team is currently in 4th place for the 2024 season championship with 127 points. Team drivers for this season are Season 8 Champion Stoffel Vandoorne and two-time Formula E Champion Jean-Éric Vergne.
