Qorvo QPA9862 High-Linearity Pre-Driver Amplifier

Qorvo QPA9862 High-Linearity Pre-Driver Amplifier is a wideband, high‑linearity pre‑driver amplifier designed to meet the demanding performance requirements of modern wireless infrastructure, particularly 5G mMIMO systems. Operating across 3.3GHz to 4.2GHz, the Qorvo QPA9862 delivers a high gain of 36.5dB at 3.6GHz and a robust output power capability with a +29.5dBm P3dB, making the amplifier suitable for applications requiring strong linearity and efficiency.

The device supports wide instantaneous signal bandwidths (up to 600MHz in 5G NR environments), ensuring compatibility with advanced multi‑antenna systems. The RF input and output are internally matched to 50Ω, simplifying integration and reducing external component requirements.

The amplifier runs from a single +5V supply with a quiescent current of 110mA and includes a fast enable/disable function ideal for TDD architectures. Packaged in a compact 16‑pin 3mm × 3mm SMT footprint, the QPA9862 is also pin‑compatible with other Qorvo devices such as the QPA9120, QPA9121, and QPA9122M, offering design flexibility. These features collectively make the QPA9862 a strong choice for 5G m‑MIMO, mobile infrastructures, and general-purpose wireless systems requiring high linearity and efficient broadband performance.
