NXP Semiconductors NHS3100 NTAG® SmartSensor

NXP Semiconductors NHS3100 NTAG® SmartSensor is an integrated IC optimized for temperature monitoring and logging. The NHS3100 includes an embedded Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microprocessor, allowing developers to implement the device into their own dedicated Time-Temperature Integrator (TTIs) solutions. NXP NHS3100 also features an integrated Real-Time Clock (RTC), Near Field Communication (NFC) interface, an internal temperature sensor, and a direct battery connection. Due to its high level of integration, the NHS3100 NTAG SmartSensor IC supports an effective system solution with a minimal number of external components.

The integrated Flash and EEPROM memory of the NH3100 can be used for data, event logging, and time and temperature algorithms. These features allow for a minimal number of external components, enabling low BOM costs and fast time-to-market development.

The NHS3100 NTAG SmartSensor is available in compact WL-CSP and HVQFN24 packages.

NTAG SmartSensor Devices

NXP Semiconductors NTAG SmartSensor devices are single-chip solutions combining NFC smartphone connectivity with autonomous sensing, data processing, and logging. NXP NTAG SmartSensors can easily be added to an application by simply adding an NFC antenna and a battery. These versatile NTAG Devices can also be easily combined with other companion chips like radios or sensor solutions and are designed to work seamlessly with NXP NFC reader ICs. The NTAG SmartSensors communicate via NDEF-formatted data.
