Monolithic Power Solutions (MPS) MPQ2180 AEC-Q100 Synchronous Step-Down Converters are highly integrated, high-frequency switching voltage regulators with an I2C control interface. The MPQ2180 can support up to 6A load current across a 2.7V to 6V input voltage (VIN) supply range with high load/line regulation. Achieving high efficiency under light-load conditions, constant-frequency hysteretic mode provides a swift transient response without loop compensation. Available in a compact QFN-14 (2.5mm x 3mm) package, the MPQ2180 is ideal for processor core supplies, automotive infotainment/telematics systems, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and other automotive applications.A 3.4Mbps I2C serial interface controls the output voltage (VOUT) with the range adjustable from 0.6V to 1.235V in 5mV steps and configures the VOUT slew rate, switching frequency (fSW), and power-save mode. Full protection features include internal soft start, over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown.
