Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MEZS7-PDCharger-MP2760 Solution Module
Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MEZS7-PDCharger-MP2760 Solution Module is designed for dual-role port (DRP) applications. The Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MEZS7-PDCharger-MP2760 utilizes the MP2760 and MPF52002 components. The MP2760 is a 4V to 22V buck-boost charger IC that supports 1- to 4-cell battery packs, providing a wide output voltage (5V to 21V) at the IN pin for USB PD compliance in source mode, with a high-resolution current limit. The MPF52002 is a USB PD controller with a 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0 MCU, supporting automatic DRP toggling and PD3.1 compliance. It also supports PD3.1, BC1.2, Apple divider mode, Huawei FCP/SCP, and QC2.0/3.0 for source mode.Features
- 4V to 22V input voltage (VIN) range
- Up to 5A input current (IIN) limit voltage
- 8.4V battery charge regulation (VBATT_REG)
- VIN = 9V to 20V, 3A fast charge current
- 92.2% charge typical efficiency, VIN = 20V, VBATT = 8V, ICC = 3A
- Up to 18.72V battery voltage range
- 5V to 21V output voltage in source mode (VIN_SRC)
- 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/1.8A, 20V/1.35A, 5V to 5.9V/3A, 5V to 11V/3A, 5V to 16V/1.8A default PDO outputs
- 93.6% source mode typical efficiency, VBATT = 8V, VIN_SRC = 9V, IIN_SRC = 2.6A
