Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) EV5077-G-00A Load Switch Evaluation Board demonstrates the MP5077, a low RDSON load switch with a programmable current limit. The evaluation board delivers a continuous 7A load current over a 0.5V to 5.5V operating input range.

The MP5077 provides up to 7.5A load protection over a 0.5V to 5.5V voltage range. Utilizing sense FET topology, the maximum load at the output (source) is current limited, and the magnitude is controlled by an external resistor from the ILIM pin to the ground. With the small RDSON and a tiny package, MP5077 load switches are a very high-efficiency and space-saving solution for notebooks, tablets, and other portable / battery-operated applications.
