Mikroe MIKROE-5508 UART to I2C Click

Mikroe MIKROE-5508 UART to I2C Click is a compact add-on board connecting UART controllers to I2C targets for protocol conversion. The Mikroe MIKROE-5508 click features the NXP Semiconductors SC18IM704, bridging UART, and serial I2C. The SC18IM704 offers high-speed UART with a baud rate of up to 460.8kbit/s, a 256-byte FIFO for data transfer/receive, and configurable GPIO pins. Host MCU communicates via ASCII messages protocol, enabling control over I2C-bus sequences, protocol, arbitration, and timing. The device suits industrial applications like communication bridges, processes, and automation control.
