Microchip Technology EVB-MEC1428MECC Evaluation Board is designed to support the development of BIOS, drivers, and firmware for the MEC1428 Embedded Controller. The MEC1428 is a highly-configurable, mixed-signal, advanced I/O controller ideal for use in Notebook and Tablet computer applications. The MEC1428 adds a high level of design functionality for computing engineers by adding Slave Attached Flash (SAF), which is an optimal solution for USB Type-C™ power delivery. The MEC1428 Controller is pin and register compatible with the MEC140X and MEC141X Controller families, allowing designers to add eSPI and additional features and increase design flexibility. The MEC1428 retains eSPI Master Attached Flash (MAF) capability.The EVB-MEC1428MECC Evaluation Board can be used as a standalone embedded controller development board or used with the Intel Skylake Y-Series RVP platform. The Intel Skylake RVP platform features an on-board MECC (AIC) connector providing easy connectivity to the EVB-MEC1428MECC Board.
