Analog Devices Inc. TMC9660 70V Smart Gate Drivers
Analog Devices TMC9660 70V Smart Gate Drivers are highly integrated monolithic gate drivers and motor controller ICs with a buck converter. These devices include a smart gate driver, a high-performance motion controller with hardware-based field-oriented control (FOC) and servo controller (velocity, position, ramp generator), motor position feedback interfaces (A/B/N encoder, hall), an analog signal processing block for bottom shunt current measurement [programmable current-sense amplifiers (CSAs) and analog-to-digital converters (ADCs)]. The Analog Devices TMC9660 components also include a powerful and flexible power management unit (PMU), buck converter, and programmable low-dropout (LDO) regulators.A preprogrammed 32-bit microcontroller is embedded for overall control and communication with an external processor through SPI or UART. The processor system supports low-level direct register access to all motor control peripherals or higher-level parameter mode access for extended functionality and ease of use. A bootloader is available for the initial configuration of system hardware connections and software selection, supporting permanent storage of this configuration in the one-time programmable (OTP) memory.
