AT86RF212, AT86RF231, & AT86RF233 RF Transceivers

AT86RF212, AT86RF231, and AT86RF233 RF Transceivers are SPI-to-antenna solutions, designed to provide a complete radio transceiver interface between the antenna and the microcontroller. These devices comprise the analog radio transceiver and the digital demodulation including time and frequency synchronization, and data buffering. All RF-critical components are integrated on a single chip minimizing the number of required external components to the antenna, crystal, and decoupling capacitors. The bidirectional differential antenna pins, used for transmission and reception, eliminate the need for an external antenna switch.

AT86RF212 / AT86RF23x AVR® Transceivers

Microchip AT86RF212 / AT86RF23x AVR® Transceivers have added their 3rd generation 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4-compliant RF transceiver. The Microchip AT86RF233 transceiver offers 60 percent lower power consumption than its closest competitors. At the same time, the 2.4GHz transceiver improves the superior RF performance for which Microchip RF products are widely renowned, making it ideal for products such as gas and water meters, monitoring and control systems, and energy-harvesting equipment. This feature-rich and extremely low power device from Microchip is designed for industrial and consumer ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4, IPv6/6LoWPAN and high data rate 2.4GHz ISM band applications.
