LSP05GX Surge Protection Devices

Littelfuse LSP05GX Surge Protection Devices provide a maximum discharge current of 10kA, 8/20µs, and are specially designed for outdoor and commercial LED lighting fixtures for transient overvoltage protection. These thermal self-protection devices are developed with Littelfuse's thermally protected varistor technology. The built-in thermal disconnect function delivers additional protection to prevent catastrophic failure and fire hazard, even under extreme circumstances of varistor end-of-life or sustained overvoltage conditions. The series also provides high line-to-earth/ground resistance, facilitating faster production line testing. Littelfuse LSP05GX Surge Protective Devices facilitates compliance to IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C Low Exposure.

Lightning Surge Protection (LSP) Modules

Littelfuse Lightning Surge Surge Protection Modules (LSP) are the industry's first series connected, 20kA capable indicating surge arrestors for outdoor lighting applications. The LSP Modules are self-protected devices that can be used in outdoor and commercial LED lighting fixtures for transient overvoltage protection. LSP10 can provide up to 20kA protection module maximum lighting surge current and LSP05 provides up to 10kA. These Littelfuse devices are constructed with Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. The built-in thermal disconnect provides additional protection against catastrophic failure/fire hazard under varistor end-of-life or sustained overvoltage conditions. The LSP product series facilitates surge immunity compliance to IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C High Exposure, ANSI C136.2, and US Dept of Energy MSSLC Model Spec.
